Be Aware of Scammers!

Scammers in the contracting industry is sadly a common occurrence. It has come to our attention there are scammers in our area posing as your local DUCTZ. These scams typically begin with a direct phone call offering a whole house air duct cleaning for very cheap ($199 or even cheaper) or through Facebook groups or marketplace. Please do not fall subject to one of these scams! An air duct cleaning scam can do potential damage to your system, rob you of thousands of dollars and sometimes even turn into dangerous situations. Before you let any contractor into your home, please do your homework. This includes:
Asking for referrals
Asking for the website – then call the number listed to ensure you are dealing with the correct company
Asking for an estimate beforehand
Asking what the job will entail (will the company clean the return and supply ducts, the blower motor, air handler, evaporator coil and all registers)
Asking for before and after photos of the job
Asking for insurance and licenses should your state or area require a license to clean and restore HVAC

When the technicians arrive:
Is the truck marked (with the logo)?
Are the technicians in uniform?
Are the technicians wearing badges or can offer a business card and the estimate or work order?

If you are unsure about any of the above, please do not let strangers into your home!
All DUCTZ technicians will be in uniform, driving marked vehicles and will have the proper paperwork to clean your HVAC system or Dryer Vent as the sales person discussed with you.
Should you be uncomfortable at any time with crews arriving to your home, call our office to verify the crew: 520-343-4355 and ask for the supervisor or visit our website at http://www.DUCTZ.com. Or call 911. Do not put your home or family in danger in order to save money on what is likely a scam.
